Say hello to the mysterious creature ‘Blob’ that looks like a plant and behaves like an animal. Named after the 1958 sci-fi horror film ‘The Blob’, this creature has no brains yet has the ability to learn and if you merge two blobs, the one that has learned will pass on the information to the other. It is capable of memory, of solving problems, and of moving around maze-like paths to find the best possible route. Remarkable intelligence, right?
It has almost 720 sexes, and can move without the aid of any fins or wings or legs. Despite lacking eyes and stomach it can locate and digest food, and when cut into two it has the ability to self heal. It can double its size each day and can stretch upto a size of several square kilometres. What's astonishing is that this bright yellow creature is almost immortal! When exposed to danger it dries out and goes into hibernation. Just add a few drops of water and voila it comes back to life!
